The Central Philosophy of the Blackstone Africa-Asia Jurists Center is to serve as vigilant advocates of the Law and Justice against any form of Tyranny, thus, upholding the position of the law as a shield. Therein committed to Social Justice advocacy and activism to monitor unchecked power and Justice for the selected few that hinders Africa democracy and socioeconomic development.

Reminiscing to the quotation statement of the 28^th President of the United States, Thomas Woodrow Wilson, as scholars of law, did state; “the nature of men and organized society dictates the maintenance in every field of action, the highest and purest standards of Justice and of right dealings. By Justice the lawyer generally means the prompt, fair and open application of impartial rules.”

Thereby, the Central focus of the Center is to complement the development of Research in General Jurisprudence, Case Law publications from the various appellate Courts in West Africa, with critical emphasis to the legal ecosystem of Africa in collaboration with our Asian partners within the specialized field of Law and Economics, highlighting on the criminological study, which is of economic in nature to guide contemporary policy frameworks for the Judicial administration and applications that strengthens the Rule of Law and safeguard the Rule of Justice within our operating territorial boundaries, especially, in an era with influx of sophisticated technologies that create opportunities and motivation by criminal actors to pursue criminal innovations against innocent targets.

We prioritize our works as a Center on legal research writings and publications by assiduously documenting different forms of Courts opinions and decisions on landmark cases, in different subject areas of law under a scholarly editorials for legal development studies, to achieve a compendium of Case law developed books, which is expected to serve as practitioners legal directories for reference within the focused Jurisdiction.

The fundamental objective of the Center is to enhance the structured library of law studies within the legal system of West Africa, and beyond as an Africa-Asia collaborative scholarship, for legal development studies of both continent, thus, to guide technical areas of legal practice and Bench delivery efficacy. And where necessary serve in the pivotal role for fundraising towards Justice Advocacy, and a legal aid to victims of Injustices and Human right abuse within our territorial boundary.

THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Appointed as the Executive Director of the Center, he is an Expert in the field of Law and Economics, specialized in Constitutional Law and Economic criminology. His research interest is in Judicial Administrative Practice, Corporate and Criminal Law, as well as Banking and Finance macro-prudential practices within the system of Africa. He has written extensively in the area of Economic theory and Policy analysis, Monetary Economics within the Banking system of fragile economies, Corporate and Constitutive criminology. We welcome him on board as a man who brings to the table an in-depth administrative skills, innovative ideas, integrity, requisite capacity and the energy level required to drive the vision and mission of the Center.
